Background

The ever-increasing demand for water resources, which is in direct function of sustainable socio-economic development and environmental protection, calls for an in-depth understanding of complex eco-hydrological processes.

In this context the availability of hydrological and environmental data as well as familiarity with the newly emerging methods, models and procedures for hydrological forecasting and estimation of eco-hydrological parameters, as needed for water management and design of  structures,  are of outstanding importance.
