The key task of the Department for methodology

The Unit for analysis and control of hail suppression activities performs analysis, control and archiving of all the data collected in the hail suppression system, prepares and distributes reports to the users on performed suppression activities on hail-threatening clouds.

The Unit for methodology performs activities aimed at further development of methodology of hail suppression as well as the development of other forms of artificial impact on weather, such as an increase of amount of precipitations and fog dispersion. These methodologies are based on the wide scientific knowledge from those areas. This Unit also performs regular control of efficiency of agents used in the system of hail suppression.

The key task of the Unit for the development of radar network and products is the development of methodology of radar measurements and observations, radar criteria for hail suppression activities, using Doppler’s products and dual-polarization radars.
