Seasonal weather forecast

Seasonal weather forecast is updated once a month. It is made in the form of textual bulletin and graphics for 7 months in advance. It contains information on forecasted deviation of mean monthly minimum and maximum air temperature as well as mean monthly precipitation quantity.

September 2008 : Warmer and somewhat drier September

Mean minimum air temperature in September will be over or within multiannual average with the value in average 1.1ºС higher in the northeast to 0.7 in the southwest of the country in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity forecasted value of September mean minimum air temperature will be around 14.3º С. Mean maximum air temperature in September will be over the range of multiannual average with the values in average 1.5ºС higher in the far north and 2.1ºС in the far south of Serbia in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity mean maximum air temperature during September will be around 25.8º С. Mean precipitation quantity during September will be below or in the range of multiannual average with the values 15 mm lower in the far north of Vojvodina to around 23 mm in central and southwestern parts of the country in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity, mean September precipitation quantity will amount to around 35 mm.

October 2008 : Continuation of dry autumn. Average warm and drier October.

Mean minimum air temperature in October will be within multiannual average with the value in average 0.6ºС higher. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity forecasted value of October mean minimum air temperature will be around 9.4º С. Mean maximum air temperature in October will be over the range of multiannual average with the values in average around 0.9ºС higher in the northeast to 0.6ºС on southwest parts of the country in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity mean maximum air temperature during October will be around 18.8º С. Mean precipitation quantity during October in the west of Serbia will be below multiannual average with the values 15 mm lower, while in the southeast of the country it will be in the range of multiannual average with the values around 8 mm lower in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity, mean October precipitation quantity will amount to around 26 mm.

November 2008 : Autumn rains. Temperatures and precipitation in the range of average values.

Mean minimum air temperature in November will be within multiannual average with the values in average 0.1ºС lower in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity forecasted value of November mean minimum air temperature will be around 3.4º С. Mean maximum air temperature in November will be in the range of multiannual average with the values in average around 0.3ºС lower in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity mean maximum air temperature during November will be around 9.7º С. Mean precipitation quantity during November will be in the range of multiannual average with the values around 15 mm lower in the southwestto 5 mm in the southeast of the country in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity, mean November precipitation quantity will amount to around 62 mm.

December 2008 : The beginning of winter. Usually cold December with average precipitation quantity.

Mean minimum air temperature in December will be within multiannual average with the values in average 0.4ºС lower in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity forecasted value of December mean minimum air temperature will be around -0.1º С. Mean maximum air temperature in December will be in the range of multiannual average with the values in average around 0.3ºС lower in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity mean maximum air temperature during December will be around 5.3º С. Mean precipitation quantity during December will be in the range of multiannual average with the values around 3 mm higher in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity, mean December precipitation quantity will amount to around 44 mm

January 2009 : Frosts in January. Moderate precipitation quantity that will remain in average range.

Mean minimum air temperature in January will be within multiannual average with the values in average 0.4ºС lower in the north to 0.7ºС southwest of the country in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity forecasted value of January mean minimum air temperature will be around -1.7º С. Mean maximum air temperature in January will remain in the range of multiannual average with the values in average around 0.6ºС lower in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity mean maximum air temperature during January will be around 3.0º С. Mean precipitation quantity during January will be in the range of multiannual average with the values around 10 mm lower in far north, while it will be around 1 mm higher in the southeast of the country in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity, mean January precipitation quantity will amount to around 39 mm.

February 2009 : Average cold and wet February

Mean minimum air temperature in February will be within multiannual average and with average multiannual values. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity forecasted value of February mean minimum air temperature will be around -0.1º С. Mean maximum air temperature in February will remain in the range of multiannual average with average multiannual values. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity mean maximum air temperature during February will be around 6.6º С. Mean precipitation quantity during February will be in the range of multiannual average with the values around 1 mm higher in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity, mean February precipitation quantity will amount to around 32 mm.

March 2009 : Beginning of spring. Temperature and precipitation quantity in average range.

Mean maximum air temperature in March will remain in the range of multiannual average with average multiannual values. Mean precipitation quantity during March will be in the range of multiannual average with the values around 1 mm higher in relation to multiannual average. In Belgrade and its wide vicinity, mean March precipitation quantity will amount to around 37 mm.
